Panagiotis Karniouras

Panagiotis KARNIOURAS is a Research Scientist ELE B’ Technology Transfer and Innovation Support at PRAXI Network, the Technology Transfer and Innovation Support arm of the Foundation for Research & Technology – Hellas (FORTH), as well as the Administrative & Finance Director of FORTH. He is acting as a scientific coordinator/project director for more than 100 national and European projects, covering technology transfer, innovation support, exploitation of research results and research-industry cooperation, financing innovation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Enterprises and Industries of Peloponnese and Western Greece, the Hellenic Bio Cluster (HBio), the Hellenic Photonics Cluster (HPhos), the Greek Association of Innovative SMEs “INNOVATION GREECE”.

He is a Programme Committee member representing Greece at the Horizon Europe configuration “The European Innovation Council (EIC) and European Innovation Ecosystems”. He is also a member of the National Committee for Research, Innovation and Education and of the Regional Research and Innovation Council of the Prefecture of the North Aegean. Furthermore, he is a member of the Steering and Advisory Group of Enterprise Europe Network and the Coordinator of the Greek node, the National Contact Point of Greece to the European Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA) and FORTH’s representative at the General Assembly of the Hellenic Digital Health Cluster (HDHC). Finally, he is an evaluator for national and European programmes for research and innovation. He is a Mechanical Engineer (National Technical University of Athens, NTUA), holding a MSc degree from the University of Manchester, UK.
