Who we are

PRAXI Network is the leading technology transfer and innovation support organization in Greece, bringing together 30 years of unique know-how in assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research organisations throughout the country.

Its mission is to make Greek enterprises and research organisations more competitive by:

  • connecting research/academia & industry
  • fostering innovation and entrepreneurship
  • supporting/promoting transnational cooperation

PRAXI Network provides…

  • achieving innovation driven competitiveness
  • accessing public and private funding and exploring new market opportunities in Europe and beyond
  • exploiting and commercialising research results

PRAXI Network functions as a unit of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the largest and most well organized, equipped and staffed research centre in the country, with research successes that render it among the top in Europe. PRAXI Network has presence in 6 cities in the country: Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Volos, Patras, Ioannina.

It started out in 1991 as a partnership between FORTH and SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises with the mission to link industry with academia. Since then, PRAXI Network has introduced important initiatives aiming at the technological cooperation enhancement between Greek and foreign enterprises and organisations. Since 1998 the General Secretariat for Research & Technology in Greece appoints PRAXI Network as the National Contact Point (NCP) for the 5th, 6th and 7th Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development and Horizon 2020, rendering it an official entity for information and advisory support for EU-funded research programmes.

The General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) has appointed on March 2021, PRAXI Network/FORTH as Horizon Europe National Contact Point (NCP) for the thematic areas below:
