PRAXI Network, unit of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) and also National Contact Point for the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe”, is co-organizing an online informative event with the University of Ioannina, the Region of Epirus, and the Institute of Biomedical Research (IBR-FORTH) on Tuesday, June 17th at 09:45, titled: “European Research Council (ERC) – Funding Opportunities”

The event aims to inform the academic and research community about the funding opportunities offered by the European Research Council to researchers at all stages of their academic careers, provide practical advice and offer support for the preparation and submission of competitive proposals.

The event is addressed to faculty members, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD candidates, as well as research office staff and project management personnel.

During the event, the following topics will be presented:

• Key information about ERC grants
• Best practices and common challenges in proposal preparation
• Personal experiences from ERC grantees
• Support services provided by PRAXI Network for prospective applicants

The European Research Council aims to support cutting-edge research by funding researchers at various career stages conducting research in European institutions. The funded breakthrough research projects are expected to push the boundaries of knowledge and lead to major scientific discoveries.
