MERCury: Kick-off Meeting of the ERC National Contact Points Network Project
On 23 October 2025, the kick-off meeting for the new project of the Network of National Contact Points of the European Research Council (ERC) took place in Rome.
The following day, a workshop open to all ERC National Contact Points (NCPs) was held, aiming to strengthen collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the effective support of stakeholders interested in ERC grants.
From the ERC National Contact Points team of PRAXI Network, Dr. Evropi-Sofia Dalampira participated.
The Role of the PRAXI Network
PRAXI Network plays an active role in the consortium, undertaking responsibilities as both Work Package and Task Leader in key project activities.
Specifically, over the next three years (until September 2028), PRAXI Network will contribute to:
- The training and support of ERC National Contact Points
- The development of an innovative AI-based training tool
- The organisation of training workshops focused on funding and on the exchange of experiences among ERC NCPs
- The organisation of training workshops where ERC grantees will share their experiences with the various types of ERC grants, aimed at prospective applicants
The AI training tool will be a comprehensive knowledge-management platform with an integrated AI chatbot, built on reliable sources. It will support ERC NCPs both in finding answers to simple queries and in developing their skills. This is the first time such a platform is being developed in the context of NCP activities.
Advancing Research Excellence in Europe
Through its participation in the project, PRAXI Network strengthens its role in supporting research excellence and empowering the ERC National Contact Points team, which in turn supports Greek researchers on their path to success in ERC grants.
The meeting brought together representatives from across Europe in a dynamic and collaborative environment, marking the beginning of a new era of cooperation.
