From Networking to Impact: A Story of Successful Connection through the Matchmaking Event Nanotexnology 2024

On 3 July 2024, the PRAXI Network, member of the Enterprise Europe Network and coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, organised the Matchmaking Event Nanotexnology 2024 at Porto Palace in Thessaloniki, within the framework of the international Nanotexnology 2024 conference.

This initiative served as a dynamic meeting hub for companies, research organisations, and professionals in the fields of innovation and high technology, aiming to foster targeted business and technological collaborations at European level.

Matchmaking Event Nanotexnology 2024

The event brought together 53 participants from 20 countries (including France, Türkiye, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Germany, Poland, Israel, Romania, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Moldova, North Macedonia, Switzerland, and Ukraine) and featured 64 scheduled business meetings, 29 of which took place in person.

Through a structured meeting-scheduling process, participants had the opportunity to identify potential partners, explore technological and commercial synergies, and open communication channels that transcend national borders. The matchmaking event acted as a catalyst, transforming the conference into a vibrant networking environment with a strong business orientation.

The Beginning of a Commercial Agreement

Two of the companies that met for the first time during the Matchmaking Event Nanotexnology 2024, Percipio Robotics (France) and SilTest (the Netherlands), have now concluded a commercial agreement following a two-year period of consultations.

Their initial contact at the event marked the first step of a journey that gradually evolved, with continuous support from the Enterprise Europe Network advisors in their respective countries. EEN advisors served as a stable point of reference, offering guidance, mediation, and targeted support, enabling the initial introduction to develop into a viable and mutually beneficial collaboration.

From Meeting to Impact

This example clearly demonstrates that meetings held within the framework of matchmaking actions are not momentary. On the contrary, they often constitute the first step of a long journey that can lead to real, sustainable partnerships with tangible business impact.

Such collaborations do not emerge “overnight.” They are built over time, through trust, the maturation of ideas, and continuous support. This is precisely the comparative advantage of the Enterprise Europe Network: it does not stop at creating contacts but accompanies businesses throughout the entire journey—from the first introduction to the implementation of a collaboration.

The Role of the PRAXI Network and the Enterprise Europe Network

For the PRAXI Network and the Enterprise Europe Network, this is the core of our mission:
to create meaningful European connections and the supportive framework within which ideas and business relationships can evolve over time and be transformed into real opportunities for growth.

Through initiatives such as the Matchmaking Event Nanotexnology 2024, the PRAXI Network strengthens the position of businesses and innovation organisations within the European ecosystem, opening pathways for cross-border collaborations that generate long-term added value.
