PRAXI Network at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair
PRAXI Network had a strong presence at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), a landmark event marking the 100th anniversary since the Fair’s establishment in 1925.
At Pavilion 7 of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI), Ministry of Development, the Network’s team had the opportunity to engage with visitors, businesses, and research organizations, showcasing our actions and services that foster research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Greece.
During the exhibition, the PRAXI Network – FORTH booth welcomed numerous visitors from the fields of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, as well as distinguished representatives of the state and the research ecosystem, including:
- Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, Minister of Development
- Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Development
- Mr. Anastasios Gaitanis, Secretary General for Research and Innovation
- Mr. George Gerapetritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Their presence highlighted the importance of innovation and technology transfer as key drivers of growth and offered an excellent opportunity for meaningful dialogue on the role of PRAXI Network in strengthening Greece’s competitiveness and international outreach.

Dr. Kostas Vavekis, Head of the PRAXI Network, presented the role of spin-offs as mechanisms for research exploitation, highlighting both the challenges and the best practices that can lead to sustainable business growth.

Vaya Piteli, Technology Transfer Consultant, presented the role of PRAXI Network as a National Contact Point for Horizon Europe, the specialized services it offers to the research community, and success stories of support.

“Transdisciplinary Collaboration between Art and Science as a Catalyst for Innovation”
Androniki Papatierpou, National Contact Point for Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society and the New European Bauhaus Research & Innovation Component, highlighted the importance of bridging art and science as a tool for innovation, explaining how this approach is encouraged by the European Commission and implemented through PRAXI Network initiatives.
