PRAXI Network, a unit of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), is organizing an InfoDay & Networking Event titled “Connecting Research with Defense Industry”, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, within the framework of the Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA) 2025 at Metropolitan Expo, in Athens.
Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA) 2025
DEFEA is one of the most important international defense and security exhibitions in Southeastern Europe. Organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence , it hosts leading industries, organizations, and institutions in the defense sector, attracting high-level delegations and representatives from countries and organizations worldwide. The exhibition serves as a strong platform for fostering international collaborations, transferring know-how, and strengthening the domestic defense technological base.
Connecting Research with the Defense Industry
The event organized by PRAXI Network aims to highlight the critical role of connecting the research and business ecosystems of the defense industry. Through thematic discussions in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Advanced Materials, participants will have the opportunity to be informed about the latest developments and explore funding opportunities from European defense and security programs.
With its longstanding experience in supporting innovation and technology transfer, PRAXI Network systematically fosters synergies between research and the market. Through this initiative, it actively contributes to shaping a more competitive and strategically autonomous European defense ecosystem.
The event is organized with the support of Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA), the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the Hellenic Association of Space Industry (HASI), the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (HCDI), the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defense Materiel Association (SEKPY), the Enterprise Europe Network, the Europe Direct Attica (PRAXI Network), and Europe Direct ELIAMEP.
