The widerAdvance Facility emerges as the strategic response to the European Commission’s emphasis on optimizing research outputs, particularly in the area of Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence (WIDERA).

This area, characterized by significant disparities in innovation across Europe, especially in Widening countries and the Outermost Regions, is the focal point of the widerAdvance Facility initiative. The initiative is designed to support and highlight the research outputs from these regions while fully aligning with the existing frameworks and tools of the European Commission.

The widerAdvance Facility is not merely a supportive platform but a comprehensive learning environment for researchers, research management entities, and technology transfer specialists. Its tailored approach includes:

  • The implementation of 50 individual academies focusing on 750 Key Exploitable Results (KERs),

  • Complementary webinars and extensive training modules,

  • Insightful study visits to renowned research centres,

  • Follow-up synergies, and

  • The creation of collaborative environments through networking events.
